Design Challenge

• Create a unique batter's wire faceguard
• Solution must meet NOCSAE standards
• Design must fit all of the manufacturer's helmet models
• Reduce downward rotation of unbalanced helmets
• Chin cup and strap are not an acceptable solution
• Improve visibility with a focus on aesthetics

Design Solution

• Move the faceguard attachment points under the helmet bill
• More centralized weight, reducing unbalanced helmet rotation
• Closer location to the face creating tighter circumference
  and increased tensile strength
• Achieves greater strength with less wire making the
  faceguard lighter
• Guard fits all of the client's helmet models
• Visibility improved by moving bars closer to the face
